Helping students maintain 11+ momentum and build secondary-level confidence

As we move forward into the academic year, our Year 6 English Course is designed to strengthen key skills in Comprehension, Grammar, and Creative Writing — supporting children as they prepare for their KS2 SATs and make a confident transition into Year 7.

These engaging weekly lessons help students build upon the solid foundation developed during their 11+ journey while ensuring they continue to grow as thoughtful, independent readers and writers.

Lesson Schedule

• Day: Every Monday
   
• Time: 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm
   
• Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
   
• Format: Small group lessons (in-person or online)
   
• Fee: £35 per lesson
   

• Mon 10 Nov – Comprehension Skills: Information retrieval & inference using short fiction extracts
   
• Mon 17 Nov – Author’s Language Choice & Vocabulary Development
   
• Mon 24 Nov – Creative Writing: Planning and structuring a short story
   
• Mon 1 Dec – Comprehension: Mixed fiction & non-fiction practice
   
• Mon 8 Dec – Formal and Persuasive Writing
   
• Mon 15 Dec – End-of-Term English Assessment
   

🎄 Lessons will pause for the Christmas break and resume on Monday 12 January 2026.
A detailed spring-term schedule will be shared in early December.
